It seems to me that the lack of respect people have for the countryside is growing worse.

I was disappointed to see rubbish strewn around at the Thatcham nature reserve today, although probably not from the regular visitors, but the teenagers at night, as it tended to be takeaway wrappers.

Found the same in the car park at Sulham Woods, takeaway rubbish just dumped before driving away and within a few yards of a large bin (it can be seen on the left of the wide angle photo). Even a soiled disposable nappy was dumped there and that wouldn't have been the youngsters.

The sad thing is that people jokingly say that France is a lovely country but wasted on the French, but the French seem to respect their country and countryside, which is something an increasing majority of our population don't do.

Next time you drive off a motorway slip road and have to slow down, just take a look at the garbage people have just thrown out of their cars.

We have the same sort of thing along the Exe estuary nature walk. Youngster have nighttime parties and leave masses of rubbish take-away cartons bear cans, destroy all the seats and set them alight also adult with dogs some have no respect
The 1st photo shows a couple of seats and a concrete area where the hide used to be until it was vandalized and eventually burnt by Youngsters. The second just shows How people dispose of their take-away leftovers.(usually sterwn along the path with bear cans and bottles
