Captured along the estuary
I saw a 'Large' the other day Beryl, I suppose you see these too.
Pete.
Haven't seen a large this year , yet. This one I nearly missed it was so tiny. It nearly as small as the hairstreak 2.6-3 cm I think they are and the green hairtreak is 2.5-3 cm
I do quite a lot of 'upland' birding Beryl and the Green Hairstreak has also been hard to find this year. I suppose I sound a little gloomy at times but I defend myself by claiming 'realistic' not 'gloomy'.
Pete.
I haven't seen a Hairstreak since the one I put in the forum and I captured that the summer before last. Haven't seen a Brimstone Moth either since last year they are as small and day flying. Bright yellow and you have to see it land and not take your eyes off it to take a photo
