I had a look at your pics earlier, and that last shot drew my attention also. I've searched for the bird I'm thinking of, but cannot find it - but it DOES have a lacy tail too - rather like your Crow.

It's not a Lyrebird, but another rain-forest type, so I'm thinking 'exotic' rather than 'battered'!

(I Googled 'exotic birds' - and wished I hadn't! However, I'm still hunting for it...)

Am giving up the search now, but I know it's one of those birds like Lyrebird which performs to its mate by hanging upside down on a branch and spreading out its tail.

- Looking at the Crow in another way, perhaps he's hoping he'll be mistaken for a Peacock?
