The largest European wading bird,
She was close to the brook today all on her own.
In the last photo you can see her size against the Redshank
Love the 4th photo - with the reflection, etc.. The sun looks really bright there too!
I think the 5th is my favourite though as you can judge its size better beside the Redshanks. To often bird ID pics show them on their own, with no reference to anywhing else whatsoever!
Mind you, those are two very brave Redshanks - I think I'd keep away from that beak if I were their size!

I purposely waited until she walked near the Redshank to capture the size of it for reference.
The sun was so bright it blew some of mt photos .
Those two Redshank kept fighting and then a third came and all three were squabbling.. there was too much movement and the one I did get was blown.
