Found this on the leaf of a bullrush in the pond there are about six others but don't know if they are empty cases like this one

Some sort of dragon fly . I diddn't knowthey shed there skins.

Yep it was on the bullrushes, I meant I wouldn't like a creepy crawlie like that walking around on the floor.
Been told it may be a Southern Hawker

Yes I just had a look Chocky, thanks rolf, I also found this when I googled and there is a similar husk also. It's amazing how when they emerge they are so much bigger than the husk itself
