Well after weeks and weeks of very little photography in the garden, here is a one legged Blue Tit. It seems okay and was chirping away poor little soul.
Well he looks quite happy Babs, don't things like that worry them, they just learn to cope.
Lovely captures We have a one legged Blue tit and another with one foot missing.
I wonder how they lose the limbs ? Could be a Sparrow hawk attack I 'sopse
Thanks he/she was beautifully groomed as you can see, does make you wonder what happens doesn't it, I saw a couple of dunnocks feeding in the garden last year with a dangly leg each.
Poor things. I guess as long as the leg doesn't infect they will be ok .
The sleep and rest on one leg any how. Most birds are left footed did you know. I had loads of parakeets and lovebirds when int he family house and they were all left footed, even my two Indian Rose Ring necks
thats a shame , but still a lovely shot
