    Cameras and Equipment

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Default Was it or wasn't it?

Right , last Sunday I was sat in the hide and I suddenly caught sight of a ...................what looked like a firecrest. I was shocked because at first glance I thought oh the goldcrest and then I noticed the orange where the gold should be. I know that goldcrest have orange in the mating season but at this time of the year I thought they were gold. As far as I'm aware we don't normally get firecrests in my part of the country. I got a good look at it becasue it landed just two feet away from me in the orange blossom stalks. Didn't manage to get a shot of it cause by the time I turned my camera to it it flew further down the garden and I lost sight of it because I have lost my glasses which I need for long distances. But it was definately orange close to. Any ideas?
