    Default Starling - Sturnus vulgaris

Sorry that I don't have much of a range of birds (so another Starling), but I thought it was better that I put something up than nothing

I thought that I had caught a reasonable shot of a Red Kite - but it was terribly out of focus.

Nice one Louise, Starlings are really photogenic, Red Kites however are nigh impossible to photograph, without a lot of luck.

Tell me about it - it doesn't matter where you are - get a camera out and Kites always fly from low to high, and in the opposite direction

Nice picture, I know lots of people don't like Starlings but I do, they can be very entertaining to watch!

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Nice image Louise, yes starlings are lovely, colourful and some can be quite musical.

Starlings are a bit raucus, and can be in rather large groups so I see why some people don't like them, but I agree, Jo - fantastically entertaining... and of course, stunning feathers.
