i saw him over at the river otter
Well done Chris, looks like it may be a Chiffchaff or Willow Warbler though, the dark stripe through the eye would tend to indicate this. Can't really see the colour of the legs too well, but they appear to be dark and that would indicate a Chiffchaff.
Nice Image Chris.Well done
i saw theas birds on the same day as the warbler
The first three captures are of shellducks Very nice ducks
Well done Chris.
thank you, the first one was fending of a crow
i have just posted a common atlantic seal over on the wildlife photos
Your garden warbler is almost certainly a chiffchaff. A garden warber has a slightly broader bill and the willow warbler has pale legs. Unfortunately positive ID between chiffchaffs and willow warblers can only be 100% through song/call.
wild goose
garden warbler, chiffchaff and willow warbler in that order.
Note as Rolf points out the lack of eye stripe on the garden warbler.
wild goose
Thanks for that wild goose, it is a problem with many of the warblers, unless you can record their song or get a photograph, it can be very difficult to differentiate between them with a quick sighting.
I think if you remember a chiffchaff is a sort of two tone Like his name just Chiff- chaff, chff- chaff all the time and the warbler has a mixture of little notes which is a little more pleasant to listen to
Nice piccies, Chris.
