Looks like a White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis).
But I don't think theycome this way
It is a Warbler but what kind of ??
This species has a large range, with an estimated global Extent of Occurrence of 1,000,000-10,000,000 km². It has a large global population, including an estimated 930,000-1,800,000 individuals in Europe (BirdLife International in prep.). Global population trends have not been quantified, but the species is not believed to approach the thresholds for the population decline criterion of the IUCN Red List (i.e. declining more than 30% in ten years or three generations). For these reasons, the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
OK, I'll have a pop at Marsh Warbler - Acrocephalus palustris?
And I'll have a pop at Sedge Warbler - Acrocephalus schoenobaenus ?
Well You are veru close, both of You so I think I will spill the beans
so we can move on
Paddyfield Warbler Acrocephalus agricola Fältsångare
In Swedish Singing in the field
Crumbs, wouldn't have guessed that one, didn't even look at the pictures, as I wrongly assumed that they wouldn't come this far west.
I was going to say Paddyfield warbler a couple of days ago but thought it couldn't possibly so dismissed it
How ever I didn't so yes . Lets move on now
Yes, let us see if this bird will give You any problems
Ruff - Philomachus pugnax ?
Chris, we had this one a couple of days ago and Beryl has fallen into the same trap as I did then when I called Ruff......Buff - breasted Sandpiper Tryngites subruficollis.
Pete.
Yes . We have already established that in the chat box
What ever it's past .We look forward to the new one
Sorry
Anyway, this is what was supposed to be posted
Icterine Warbler - Hippolais icterina ?
Hmm, doesn't look like a Warbler, as no eye stripe, not a Flycatcher, will have to have a think.
Yes, this need some thinking I am sure
Not that common in our nature
No marks, no colors just a bird
female pied flycatcher Ficedula hypoleuca ?
Sorry but no. Like Rolf said: It´s not a flycatcher
Not all warblers have stripes but I don't think they have that dull ring round the eye
I know, but those which don't, don't look like that.
And it isn't really a Warbler type beak.
I noticed that. It's quite a thick beak really
I've been clutching at straws and looked at pretty much every little brown bird in Western Europe and the only one I can find which comes close is the juvenile Penduline Tit, Remiz pendulinus.
Never give up Well done again Rolf
Pungmes/Penduline Tit
Remiz pendulinus
Oh well done Rolf
So here is a new fresh " never give up" bird
Red-necked Phalarope, Phalaropus lobatus, ?
Nope, looks much smaller with a tiny beak, I reckon it's a red-rumped swallow Hirundo daurico.
Yes Rolf, it is
Rostgumpsvala/Red-rumped Swallow
Hirundo daurica
OH. Well done
This next one is a piece of cake for You
Pied Wagtail - Motacilla alba
Yes - and - No
It´s a special bird, this one
Must be a White Wagtail - Motacilla alba ?
Let us find out what this is ?
Striking little birds, I think it's a Whinchat - Saxicola rubetra.
Think you're right there Rolf
