Got this beauty for You !
Bar-headed Goose - Anser indicus
Again a 10-ponit Chocky
Stripgås Anser indicus
Nice bird isn´t it ?
Again a water loving bird
Cormorant- Phalacrocorax carbo
Hmm, looks like a Diver of some sort, but can't find a match. Great Northern Diver - Gavia immer perhaps? The beak doesn't look right for a Cormorant.
I can see it now.
Black- throated Diver - Gavia arctica
Great Northern Diver Gavia immer in winter plumage.
Pete.
I am glad to announce that we have the right answer
Svartnäbbad islom Gavia immer
It´s a diver and she likes cold weather, strange bird
Here is a new fresh picture of a water loving bird
Let us see what You guys know about divers
Red-necked Grebe, Podiceps grisegena ?
I reckon it's a Female Smew - Mergellus albellus, it's the only waterfowl I can see which has the beak colouring extending onto the head with that shape and a red neck. They are a little Grebe like
I think your right Rolf. His beak is all wrong for a grebe of any sort.
Just noticed that
Yes, it is a she
Salskrake Mergus albellus
Well done again Rolf
Here is a shy bird
Jay - Garrulus glandarius
It would have to be a very small one Beryl. I think it's a Bearded Tit - Panurus biarmicus
Yes. you are probably right Rolf. I don't think Jays have blue heads do they? And his wings are too short .Lol.
So, what could this be ???
A Lapwing- Vanellus vanellus ?
Yep, no doubt about that.
Indeed
Tofsvipa Vanellus vanellus
Here is a little bird that think it is too cold today
Serin female - Serinus serinus ?
Well, although I've never seen one, I reckon it's an Ortolan Bunting - Emberiza hortulana, it's the only one I can think of with the grey head, facial stripes and buff/rose underwing colour
I thought of some sort of bunting .
Your probably right Rolf. I have never seen a bunting .
The only ones I've knowingly seen are Reed and Corn, plus Yellowhammer of the same family.
I was going to put yellowhammer
I think though they have more brighter yellow and striped faces. so I don't think it is
Chris hasn't given the answer to this one yet Rolf but I hope he can forgive me for telling you that you are correct with Ortolan Bunting.
Pete.
Thanks Pete, one I'll have to keep a look out for.
So will I Rolf. But won't be holding my breath, don't think one has ever turned up in our neck of the woods but not 100% sure about that claim......just 99.9%
Pete.
Looks like I'll have more chance over at me sister's place in France.
Yes Rolf - it is a Ortolansparv Emberiza hortulana
Not that common here in Sweden but we do see them.
Well done again, it was nice to read Your chat about this bird
Well done Rolf
Well, this won´t be easy
Peregrine- Falco peregrinus ?
Almost but not all the way It´s a falcon all right but from another branch
