Last Little Egret taking off from the farmers field. There were some 40+ little egrets all waiting patiently for the tide go out

Wonder if the lone one which, last winter, stayed for weeks at the stream I can see from this window?

Here is half of the line. There are about 30 here. I couldn't fit them all in. Next time I will take my wide angle lens

I wonder if they roosted on those trees behind them overnight/
I once saw a group of about 7 perching in the branches of a smallish Hawthorn tree down at Lepe Point on the Solent. It was an amazing sight!

Yes. The nest in colonies in trees like the grey Heron.
