    So the sun has arrived, great for long distance bird shots and what happens? My tripod goes over onto a quarry tiled floor, can't see me repairing this.

    Not sure Catherine, but as I bought a replacement for not very much money, which is a much better camera, I'm quite happy.

    LOL, wasn't too happy myself, but there was so much else going on at the time, it wasn't quickly put to the back of my mind.

    Took the new camera back to France a week or so later and managed a few photos of a Coypu in a local pond. http://www.thamesvalleybirds.co.uk/g...-et-loire.html
