Here are pics of some of the gorgeous flowers we spotted at the beginning of April during our two week holiday in Cyprus. No particular order, just some info as I resize them for the forum.
So first up Cyclamen. Found all over the place!
Turban Buttercup Ranunculus asiaticus
Another one that can be found all over the place
One of the Acacias.
Glowing in the early evening sun This one was just round the corner from our apartment and we passed it every night on the way up to the taverna for dinner
Giant Orchid Barlia robertiana.
Not particularly common but its well named - thats a roadside crash barrier behind it!
Last one for tonight - Carol is still working on the identifications!
Naked Man Orchid Orchis italica.
Very feathery and incredibly beautiful. Not particularly common but we found it at Evretou reservoir
It's very beautiful, Ross, and I can actually see the 'naked man' figures on each flower - though they look more like fairies to me!
Some lovely flowers there Ross, the last one really is aptly named.
