Here is another cute little chap
Hree's a couple of very young coots.(took this one last month)
Lovely photos, Joe - all of them - but I particularly like the one you posted yesterday of the parent Coot feeding her young.
Beryl, that's the first young Robin I've seen to gain a bit of reddish colouring. 'Ours' are still spreckly brown!
I think he is an early one going through his first molt .
We have quite a nic collection of baby birds in the thread haven't we?
It's always nice to catch them while they are doing their parental duty of feeding.
House Sparrow. Captured today July 11th along the Exe estuary
Here are a couple I captured today
A fluffed up baby Dunnock
Nice one, Beryl!
He looks as if he's in the huff though!
Lol. Thanks Think I desturbed him he was 'pecking' up seed off the ground
Two more for the collection
2 of a Baby Chiffchaff and a baby Goldfinch
You're doing really well, Beryl. I guess you must be the BB champion (and that stands for 'Baby Bird', not 'Big Brother'! )
Have you noticed how many views this thread has had?
Mind you, it does mention practically every bird in the forest
No. I haven't counted. But glad folk contributing

How lovely to see so many, Beryl!
We've seen a definite rise in the number of House Sparrows near us. Well, from none to about 9 is a rise, isn't it?
Do you think that has been reflected throughout the country?
Yes. I think so too Catherine
I do hope they are picking up in numbers throughout the countryas thay are on the Red list acording to the RSPB
