Crumbs Ross, that post has been up since October and you're the only one who's noticed. Here it is.

Also, a new one from the pub at Jennetts Park, Bracknell.

Don't think so Catherine, the forge hasn't been a working forge for quite a long time, lovely nonetheless.

Isn't that 'Dr's' one great - How unusual to use it as a form of advertising?.

Some really interesting vanes there, Ross!

Could the Seahouses creation be a way of getting around advertising restrictions in a conservation area? Pity the doc didn't get the maker to create a medical theme for it though - rather than just put his name on it!

I mean, could he not have commissioned one with a syringe, or a stethoscope, on top?

Good point Catherine - after all, that's the way they used to advertise before the general populace could read... it could make things very interesting

I love the way people choose suitable subjects for their vanes

That's nice vane for birders - he's about to ring one and she has a shovel to clear up after them - well, have you seen how much a goose leaves behind?

Sorry :-) That 's a lovely vane - I wonder if it was actually put up when the kids clothing suggests (Victorian). Also I love te way the birds at the start have 'grill' in their middle so they don't ruin the movement of the vane - I'm not sure I've seen that before.
