They look so different in flight and seem to blend in as the turn and sort of disappear
I love the way they keep close to the edge of the shore and fly so low over the water.
The pattern on their wings is so distinctive when they fly.

I'm not sure but I think like fish have a lateral line (biological ability to receive and make use of electrical impulses)to avoid collision they have some sort of chemicals that sops them from crashing into each other same with the Starlings
