Red-necked Grebe- Podiceps grisegena ? Chick
No, it is not red
OK, there aren't too many other Grebes, how about Slavonian Grebe, Podiceps auritus?
Yes it is. It was a toss up between the three and the Slavonian Grebe was going to be my next . Well done Rolf
Like You said Rolf, aint many of them
Svarthakedopping Horned Grebe Podiceps auritus (BTW it´s called Horned Grebe ??)
In Swedisk this one is named black (svart)
Yep. Horned Grebe.
Horned Grebe, Identification, All About Birds - Cornell Lab of Ornithology
Here is a new fresh bird !
Maybe hard to see?
Are they Starlings? Sturnus vulgaris?
Flock of Pigeons - Columba
Oh no
It´s a close-to water bird(s) but none of Your guesses
Think You need a closer look
Alpine Swifts - Tachymarptis melba
That's a difficult one, but there aren't too many birds with that type of tail and profile when in flight and the facial markings, if it is what it looks like, a Black-winged Pratincole - Glareola nordmanni. I would guess a rare visitor to Sweden.
Well, not that common but still a regular visitor
Svartvingad vadarsvala Black-winged Pratincole Glareola nordmanni
Oh. Never heard of that one.
Well done Rolf
I'd heard of it, didn't know what one looked like apart from vaguely, but was looking through the book for the right flight outline.
I did that but only came up with the Alpine
So, what could this be ??
Spoonbill - Platalea leucorodia
Well, I have Eurasian as well !
Skedstork Eurasian Spoonbill Platalea leucorodia
I think it's the same
Me to Chocky
Anyway, here is a new fresh (water) bird
Hmm, I forgot to say - it´s a special breed (lol)
Lesser Black-backed Gull Larus fuscus?
Juvenile. Yep I'll agree with Rolf
Well, I wont agree
OK, if it isn't the Lesser, it's the Great Black-backed Gull - Larus marinus.
Or a juvenile Herring Gull - Larus argentatus
That´s better Rolf
Havstrut Great Black-backed Gull Larus marinus
I think I´ve posted just about every bird we see here in Sweden.
Still find something new every now and then, so here we go:
White-fronted Goose - Anser albifrons
Sorry but no, it is not !
Lesser White-fronted Goose - Anser erythropus ?
Bingo
Fjällgås Anser erythropus
Again I ask, what bird could this be ??
Bit of a giveaway with the name of the file Cris, but it sounds like a Skylark - Alauda arvensis.
Yep I'll agree with Rolf .
Sounds remarkably like a Skylark
or Songlark: Cincloramphus mathewsi
Isn't the songlark - Cincloramphus mathewsi an Australian bird Beryl?
Yes . Just realized Rolf. Got to be a Sky lark having listened to it
Yes, sorry about the name, one must remember what it is but I usually
change name when posting
Sånglärka, Alauda arvensis
Well done, reading swedish
