    Default The Hobgoblin Pub

Whilst pulling up my Morris Men photos, I spotted this photo of the pumps. This is from my favourite pub in the centre of Reading.
It's a Real Ale pub and very small, but very friendly and with fantastic beer, and if I had been in there half an hour earlier I would have caught the Morris Men actually dancing in there... but since there's no floor space bigger than a metre and a half wide I'm not sure how they managed that!

They've been through 3 managers whilst I've gone there - each with their own character, but each being an integral part of the atmosphere there.

They have a few permanent ales on sale, but there is a constantly revolving selection of guest beers (about 5000 since I started going there about 10 years ago, as reflected by the pump clips over the walls and ceilings.

Never been in that pub, but then I haven't had a drink in a town centre pub more than a couple of times in the last 20 years.

Looks like a nice place though.
