    most of my efforts are digi-scoped, using an opticron hr66 scope, pentax optio v15 digital camera and homemade adaptor.+ a panasonic lumix fz28

    Default waxwings in preston

    these splendid birds appeared at a number of sites around preston in mid march. probably on their return leg back to scandinavia (or where ever they came from) the numbers of this particular flock grew to around 90+ birds. they gave very close veiws whilst feeding around a pub car park. i had the great privilege of watching around 25 birds bathing in a puddle in someones garden. preston, of late, seems to have become somewhat of a magnet for these fantastic birds...... simply brilliant

    Lucky 'someone' with a garden full of Waxwing and lucky 'andy b' having the privilage of watching/photographing them in this garden......excellent.

    thanks all good to be back in the fold. i've been off the internet for some time as my computer went kaputt!! also i dont get much time out these days due to family commitments and work.... but hopefully with the advent of the spring migration i might get abit of 'me' time, now and again.
