Communal bathing.

Taken Fri afternoon at Lea farm gravel pit. They were bathing and trying to cool off.

Nice group of Jackdaws Joe, one of my favourite birds, a bit like starlings, love communities.

I am quite partial to the Jackdaw too - but great to catch them having a communal bathe.

Unfortuantely they were bad news for sand martins who left the area after the sandmartin bank was badly predated.

Oh no, I didn't think of that Of course, you still can't blame the Jackdaws - it's in their nature.
