Chaffinch foot disorder

I have seen this elsewhere, but this is the first case I have seen in my garden.

Called Bumble Foot, it is a parasitic infection and whilst not being fatal, can lead to difficulty in mobility.

Poor little bird. I wonder if there is a way to cure it ?

There is for captive birds, as it is a fungal infection, but unfortunately, there is no way to treat wild birds. They do not seem particularly bothered by it though.

You could put some of the treatment in a water troff. I think it a pink powder I can't remember what it is called and hang up some pink blocks maybe they will help and it won't harm birds that don't have any ailments

No, really don't think there is any way of treating it in wild birds Chocky.
