Why is it that when you see a good photo opportunity, a post is in the way on one side, and another bird's posterior gets in the way on the other?
I still liked the effect of the light, shining through those feathers though!

If you copy the tip of other wing and take out the background then flip it you coulul complete the swan and clone in the back ground ont he extended side

(It was taken at Christchuch Quay where there are LOTS of Mute Swans, all ringed. There are many different water birds there, and it's such a picturesque place too)
