    Default Turtle Dove at Cernay, Eure et Loir

    Had been looking at what I thought was a Collared Dove at the top of the large Douglas Fir in my sister's paddock, until I realised the song was different. Really pleased as it is a first for me.

    You did well to photograph it then! What a lovely bird!

    I have only seen one before, from a bus, going over the Doon near Burns' Cottage in Alloway. It was also at the top of a tree, though I neither heard a song nor had a camera - so you beat me by a mile there!

    Now you know it's in the area.....
