    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Yes. They are as they are related to the miner birds.
    This one seams to have white feathers around the throat

    I don't know I have never seen one with whit feathers like that round his neck . So I'm a little baffled . May be I'll ask Rolf

    That's Ok Babs when I was shooting I thought it was a pied black bird or young crow then when I got home I realised it was a starling

    This could be a trick of the light / sun on his iridescent feathers.#
