    When I first saw him about the garden I assume that it was just a moulting issue, but I managed to catch him and it looks pretty horrible. Mind you, at least he's pretty lively.

    I wish there was a way we could help birds like that, but I don't think we can.

    Good to hear he is lively though!

    I know how you feel - I'd love to do something to help, but at least he doesn't (yet) seem to be otherwise in ill-health. Because he comes out of the big tree, I assume that he is either the male of the breeding pair or maybe the youngster who managed to survive (which is what I assume).
