New collapsible lens hood

Just bought a couple from ebay, very good value and screw into the filter thread. Great when you're on the move, as don't need to be detached.

Here are pictures of it folded back, part and fully extended.

Yes, I used to have them on my Pentax ME-Super, really were convenient. The only problem is with the short lens, at the widest setting, I have to take the filter off, or I get vignetting on the corners.

I wonder what causes that. I mean dark corners when the lens is round
Oh of course the filter and mirror and such are rectangle. Still I wonder

The filter is round, as is the lens cover, but the lens when at its widest, is shaded by the depth of the lens cap.

Yes. I figured some thing like that,
I have seen photos with dark corners ,can't remember when . Father-in-law I think. Ages ago. he was useless at photography IMO even though he used to dark room them . I learned how to develop and print Photos when I was in the wrens.
