Great - multi-moths! I got a couple the other day but not half as good as this, so I was still in 2 minds whether to post.

It's also interesting to see what plants attract moths and butterflies.
(If you check Burnet Moths on Google Images, you'll see many of those are either on Knapweed or Scabious - just like yours!)

It's a good point,Catherine - if you want to catch a particular insect then you need to learn what it likes. I plan to do that at some point to catch those that I've not seen yet.
I didnt realise there was different types of these moths. Must get a better book.
I only knew that from being on here - I saw my first one at the weekend (actually I think there were 2 different ones - but I only got a shot of one). You can learn a lot on here

OK, I'll see if I can sort them out - it was rather windy, and adding that to chasing them about, they weren't as nice as I would like
Mine was upside down, I was laying on the ground to take it and even then didn't really work.
Snap - the same shot!!! Mind you, I didn't lie on the floor as Rolf did.. i just snuck back and shot him doing so!
My first came out better than I thought, but the second isn't very good (it was blowy and nothing stayed still)... but it does show the underwing at least.
