These birds, originally from South America, are often ignored by birdwatchers. They are present and breeding in several places with flocks of more than 100 reported. Breeding recorded in 1996/97 from Devon, Northumberland, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Norfolk and Nottinghamshire (and probably on a pond near you!).

The scary thing is that it actually worked the other way, they are really cute ducklings (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Muscovyduckling.jpg ) who turned into damned ugly ones!
