    Default The Estuary

This is the Exe Estuary as I saw it on the first of December

    The Estuary
The wind was blowing a Hooley.
    The waves were really rough.
This Mallard took off from the Shore.
And said "You know I've had enough"

The geese they were also honking.
    The Wigeons were whistling too.
The seagulls just flew round in circles
    Screeching as always they do

    Oyster catchers were flocking
As shanks and Curlews joined in
    Sanderlings, Turnstones and Godwits
Were adding toward all the din

I stayed a little while longer
Then decided to leave the arena
The wind was sweeping me off my feet
And it was getting, meaner and meaner

Thanks Andy. I make them up as I go along. I see things and a poem enters my head and flows through my pen.
