The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Thankyou Beryl and Pete for your comments. No Pete I have never even considered ever trying to sell my pics but I did manage to have one I sent in put on the home page of our office intranet for a month which would have been seen many, many people all over the country. I was well pleased with that

Also I was contacted by a Scottish artist who asked me for permission to use my sparrowhawk pic as a reference for a painting he was doing, I was well pleased with that too

Ah well that's a start Babs and a good one re the Scottish artists request for permission......nice one.

There are so many outlets for seeing your photography in print these days, in particular on the internet. Give it a go Babs.....makes your ego fly out the window with your success.

Oh you are all too kind

I am just lucky to have very good equipment, a big garden, a garden hide, lots of patience and a very patient hubby

Oh and some lovely birds to happen to visit my garden

Oh and four grey squirrels who love to wreck my garden

Despite your equipment, garden, hide, and lots of patience Babs the results in photography is 'ALWAYS' reliant on whose hand the camera is in.

Not trying to be patronising here, if the pictures are not up to standard I keep my mouth shut.

    Pete.
