    Nicely spotted and nicely shot - my bird knowledge is limited so I have to admit that I knew nothing about Redpolls, so it''s lovely to be introduced to them... although the second shot does make him look very grumpy, or maybe just concentrating very, very hard
    I'm assuming that this is a Mealy Redpoll since Lesser Redpolls are less common, but I couldn't actually work out which one it could be - anyone know which it is? I'm hoping it's the less common "lesser" since their Latin name is apparently - "Carduelis cabaret".. which is a fantastic name!
