    Default Thrush with flowers

Just found this one from our trip to Teesdale a couple of months ago. The flowers are Mountain Pansies, and the location is just downstream of High Force waterfall.

Looks wonderful there. Not sure I recognise those mountain pansies either.

It sounds like a great place to walk.

I see the Thrush is enjoying a nice fat snail too!

Teesdale & Weardale are lovely at all times of the year. Teesdale is the best for the flowers in the late Spring - a couple of mile walk downstream from the High Force Hotel car park will allow you to find many rare flowers.

    Weardale has more industrial heritage.

The birds are great round there - the speciality is the Black Grouse - I almost ran over one a few years ago - it was wandering down the middle of the road!
