    Default Kingfisher Hovering

Captured this little lady as she took of and decided to hover at the end of the Exmouth brook where it meets the Exe estuary
The first two photos were taken one after the other. The third was a little later when she went off to hover again

I see it hover several times but have never been quick enough to capture it . They only hover for about one minute.

    Well done capturing that, Beryl!

We saw one flying out over the saltmarshes at Keyhaven last year. It then hovered over one spot. After dipping down quickly to grab whatever it saw, it flew back inland again.

A few minutes later it returned to hover over the exact same spot. I guess it knew there was a lot of potential dinner there!
