    This bird is large but I don't think it is a Song Thrush but it might be . What do you make of it any one please?

    It was an extremely dull mis, day so the photos are not good

    most of my efforts are digi-scoped, using an opticron hr66 scope, pentax optio v15 digital camera and homemade adaptor.+ a panasonic lumix fz28

    hi chocky, are you sure this bird was large? it looks to me like a female siskin feeding on alder. though siskins are only tiny little things!! this is the time of year to find siskins popping up. the male would have a little black bib and dark crown

    It was high up and it was about blackbird size. certainly didn't behave like a song thrush and it doesn't look like none to me. I thought the tail wasn't quite right but I don't know. I don't know what colour Siskins are
    Here is the photo with just a fraction of unsharp mask only and another sitting near and it does seam to have a little yellow too

    Having just watched the video, they are the same size a the green finch . I know they are not green finch because when I was capturing them on the camcorder I remember thinking I had never seen them before and I know the Greefinch well and it's dreadful call

    100 % siskins chocky. they have greeny backs with a yellow wing bar. they have a streaked belly. and theforked tail with rounded edges

    I was given a Laptop for Christmas and am getting used to the different screen, also have software at home that I need to input
