Default Black-tailed godwit & Common Sanpiper

The first photo here as Pete has kindly pointed out is a Black-tailed godwit (which I should have known), the second a Sandpiper in front of a Little Grebe the third unfortunately the Sandpiper is flying away

Beryl, I really don't want to keep doing this but am convinced you would sooner I did than didn't.

Your first pic is of a Black-tailed Godwit. Your third is exactly what you say it is......a Common Sandpiper flying away.

    Pete.

I appreciate you letting me know.

So long as you are OK today Beryl I'm not going to worry about last night......are you!

By the way, this bird can sometimes be confused with the Bar-tailed Godwit at a distance.

    Pete.
