Was very windy over the gravel pits today, so took a couple of pictures of the Blackheaded Gulls playing. When you study them they are incredible flyers.
Look at where the head is on the first picture.
Hi, just found this forum, shame it's a little quiet with members, hopefully more people will find it like me and make it busier.
Love the first photo, it looks like he is taking a drink whilst flying.
Hi Maureen, welcome to the forum.
Yes, it is a little quiet, but it takes time for people to find a new forum, I'm sure it will pick up soon.
Welcome Maureen, glad you've taken the time to join us.
Welcome from me too Maureen.
Good 'in flight' shots there Rolf. I've just returned form Jersey, CI today and have been watching the gulls and magpies from the hotel. Then went down to a beach where a guy had brought in a few fish and he was surrounded by gullls ....as you would expect. The noise was very loud.
Bet you didn't get any pictures Jimbo.
I know I have pics of horses and a duck ......but need to download from the camera as soon as I can. Busy atm with Easter and family coming.
Btw Rolf, my wife said to ask you ...... at Gatwick she saw 2 x magpies with the usual black/white markings but also bluish/purple in their wings. Are they standard or unusual?? There's a brownie point or 2 in this.
There is normally a multi-colour sheen to the wings Jimbo, the one below is a younger one.

Thanks for the welcome.
