    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Took this shot in my garden this evening, I have a suspicion that it may be a juvenile, but I could be wrong

    My Song Thrush came back again today and I managed to get a better pic of him. The bush which is atracting him is my Mahonia bush the hrush and the Blackbirds absolutely love the blue berries on it

    Pribably a female .
    Deafinately a song thrush. Mistles have absolute round spots. Song thrush have more arrow sahped sopts. Cheveron like at the base od the spots

    Thanks for that Chocky, I have heard that it is quite hard to distinguish between the two but you have explained it perfectly

    Your welcome . Under each wing of the song thrush , amasingly, the sopte form an arrow head like a 'direction up' and I think the mistle is slightly slimmer and more upright.
