I hope I have the name right. It takes me a fraction of a second to take the picture and two days to find out what it is LOL
Ahhhh. That is a fantastic capture. Yes it is Bullfinch .
Well done
One of the most colourful British birds, the male Bullfinch really stands out from the crowd.
Do you see what you have done to me Chocky. I used to take pictures of birds because they looked nice. Now I do exactly the same except I want to find out what they are when they nest and when they breed etc etc and I am loving every second of it. THANK YOU
Lol. Excellent past time.
I have the RSPB Birds of Britain and Europe. and the collins Guide . Birds of Britain and Europe + others.
Rolf is knowledable too
Ok Rolf
Trouble for me is I am starting of 40 years to late with the bird recognition stuff. I regret that very much now

I started later.
PS. Chocky, I'm not knowledgable, just look up a lot.
I know Rolf. Don't we all.
Excellent image of the male Bullfinch digidark, well done
Lovely photo... and I agree - a few seconds to snap and then hours of looking and hair pulling trying to decide what the hell the creature is called
I know very little, just look everything up - but it makes you learn, and it sticks better that way. The good thing about it is that if you are unsure then you should be able to find out here.
BTW, I don't think that there are any limits as to how many photos per day... just don't use all your photos up at once
