    Nikon D300,nikon 70-200 +1.7 converter. Nikon 105 mm Macro with VR Sigma 300 with X2 converter Nikon P5000 with fieldscope and Binos Nikon D7000 Nikon 17-55 mm F2.8

    Default Little Egret

    I'm 99% that this is a little egret, but the legs and feet are yellow and the beak is not completely black. Possibly a juvenile?

    Sorry missed this Joe, I can see why you're unsure, as the colouring would suggest a Great White Egret, but one of those would be a very rare sight at that location.

    Your pics differ from the Little Egret ones I have - in that in all of my 'captures' the birds have black legs and yellow feet

    I cannot find another pic on the 'Net with one of that species looking like yours. However, I found this on Wikipedia -
    'Juveniles are similar to non-breeding adults but have greenish-black legs and duller yellow feet.'

    So your guess that it might be a juvenile could very well be correct!

    Definitely a Little Egret. Yellow kegs black beak. I'm seeing them all the time here
