most of my efforts are digi-scoped, using an opticron hr66 scope, pentax optio v15 digital camera and homemade adaptor.+ a panasonic lumix fz28

    Default tawny owl roosting

this was one of two tawny owls i was lucky enough to spot this morning. whilst walking back, off the local park, with my dog, i heard several blackbirds making a commotion. knowing that tawny owls roost in this particular spot i investigated further. i then heard a tawny owl call. i looked about and spotted this one sat very close to the path. the blackbirds were still going berserk, but not near to where this owl was. suddenly a second tawny owl flew off with the blackbirds in chase. it left this particular owl to sit in peace. i legged it back home for my camera. thankfully it was still there when i returned.

Superb shots Andy, well done. I've been so far unlucky in spotting a roosting Owl.
