    Default Ice Show

I sent in a reminder of Autumn, heres one of Winter.

Sixteen Black-headed Gulls and a Common Gull on the ice at Marton Mere at Blackpool, a nature reserve well worth a visit at any time of the year.

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Top right Babs. Greenish bill and looks a little 'blown up' compared to the BH Gulls.

Isn't it interesting that Beryl says 'we don't get much of that down here'. You really don't realise the difference in weather in different parts of our country.

    Pete.

Thanks Pete, I noticed that there was a seagull which looked oversized but I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me and that it was two seagulls stood side by side thanks for pointing out which it was.

Yes it is a lot milder down Beryls part of the country
