I WAS going to do it, but guess who will be in Huntingdon on Saturday and Sunday?
Well do that garden.
Unfortunately we'll be staying at the Premier Inn there - where we'll be lucky to see some Crows and Wagtails in the car park.
Hope to get to Grafham Water though. Might see something interesting there - if it's not too cold for the children!
Been past there, but never visited, apparently a nice place.
We've been there before - in summer! Yes, it's a lovely place - large lake with may different Ducks, Geese (White-fronted, Canada and Greylag last time), Great Crested Grebes and the usual Coots, Moorhens, etc.
It would be interesting to see what is there in winter, though it might just be too cold for the children this weekend.
However, the Great Ouse flows through the town, and there are many parks and green areas beside it, so we should at least be able to let them see the Great Crested Grebes, Canada Geese and Mallards there. Huntingdon and St Ives are really worth a visit - as is Ely nearby!
