    That's a shame, slow worms are lovely little creatures and I guess that nobody told the Magpie that they are a protected species.

    Yes, a little unfortunate the Magpie took this Slow Worm for lunch and a good lunch too at that.

    Well maybe she has a few chicks to feed. I was quite surprised at such a large worm .She spent ages trying to get it. There was such a lot of thrashing around I only got thee one shot that wasn't blurred
    My so brought 6 of them home when he was 12 wanted to make the spaer aquarium into a vivarium and I had to tell him they weren't grass snakes but slow worms and to take them back.
    Yes they are protected but I wouldn't class them as lovely . They are legless lizards
