Native to Mexico and South America. Although the Muscovy Duck is a tropical bird, it adapts to icy and snowy conditions down to –12°C (10°F) Quoted from Quoted from Wikipedia
This one is a domesticated duck and I think it may have come from one of the houses across the road from the pond whee I captured it.
He/she was trying to get back as you see in the photos he has a each way and waits for the traffic. I stood frozen to my spot as the traffic was heavy, though the traffic does know and stops for ducks to cross. But he/she changed his/her mind and went back to the pond. In the last but one he has razed the head feathers. He/ she is not pleased. Almost calm and settled for the pond again in the last photo
