    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Anyone any idea what type of Bee this is please

    Really, thanks Chocky, I have never heard of them before, I get quite a lot of them in my garden. Shall have to read up on them, thanks again

    Yes . There is also a buff -taild and a red - tailed . The buff-tailed is a deafinate buff where yours is white.

    I am told the white tailed are declining, we have quite a few down here. I will see if I have a nice red tailed bumblee I took some last year

    Olympus Evolt E520, and borrowed lenses and flash. Fuji Finepix S7000 for Macro A chair :)

    I came across this great identifier - you move the bands of colour until it resembles yours... and tells you which one it is. Much easier than the usual checking through loads of piccies. It's from the Natural History Museum.
