The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default Weather Vanes

When we are out and about I love to see the different kind of weather vanes. Here are a couple I have managed to get a shot of

The first one was taken at Eyam in Derbyshire the place where the Great Plague was

The second was taken on a caravan site......it made me laugh

This is a great idea for a thread Babs, have moved it into the photos section, as I'm sure that members can add to it as we go along.

Spotted this one whilst walking to the most southerly point at the Lizard in Cornwall, it was quite far away but you can still make out what it is

This one doesn't have N S E or W on it but I think it's still a weather vane, I could be wrong though, this one is on top of the lighthouse at the Lizard in Cornwall

Spotted this one at a job in Newbury, it is the vane on the Nag's Head in the Town centre.

Apologies about the quality, it was taken with the mobile.

It's great and the quality is very good for a mobile . Well spotted Rolf.

That's an unusual one Beryl, nice shot.

I'm keeping my eyes open now for more, spotted a couple on my rounds and noting them down for when i have the camera in the van.
