    Default Ichneumon wasp - possibly Gasteruption jaculator female

    It is very similar but the underbelly colouring pattern doesn't quite match what I can find.

    All done with the 14 quid close-up filter on the standard kit lens, Eddy.

    I love these creatures, Rolf - they are SO much like aliens. In fact, if someone drew it you would say "oh, miles too silly to be real". That's what I love about getting down with the macro - there are so many amazing creatures that we just can't see properly because of their size.
