Anna removed it using a small right angled tick remover, it has a slot at the bottom, a little like a claw hammer, you slide it around the tick's head and then gently twist, the tick comes out easily.
i had to remove one from my housemate the other day, im sure the kitty behaved well when it was removed. The same cant be said for my housemate who screamed a lot, i managed to use a pair of cotton buds as tweezers to remove it..
Ticks are grim but cool insects... and your pics are cool... going to freak her out some more with them...

They are really weird things. aren't they? It looks a bit like a deflated rugby ball - assume that it hadn't got started yet
Think it had been going for a while, as the body is much smaller before they start feeding.
