Default Headline : Wood Pigeon eats other pigeon's head shock.!

    Well, sort of
As I've already posted, the nesting Wood Pigeons not far from my window did succeed in raising a couple of 'little' ones. Yesterday and today I saw them being fed.

Shot 1 - head to head
Shot 2 - comparing the 2 heads - the mum's beak is much more highly coloured than usual
shot 3 - Mum tries to doze off but without success
shot 4 - Youngster stretches the wing out to balance/make sure Mum doesn't leave
shot 5 - a real close up, showing just how deep the youngster probes down the throat

It was fascinating to watch - I knew that they did this (when I was growing up I knew a scientist who told me bout how they use their crops), but I had never seen it in real life like that.

My boyfriend (and probably Rolf too) would say that I DID have a big mouth, but my dentist has to use the small mould so I OFFICIALLY have a small mouth
